02. When?
When it’s cloudy & overcast, any time of day can work for senior shoots. However, on sunny days , it is best to shoot in early morning (5am – 7am) or early evening (6pm – 8pm).
- The month you choose to do your shoot in is based on many factors! If you’d like a floral background, a June session may be your best bet. If you’d like your photos to be taken closer to your senior year however, August is likely a better option. Additionally, I tend to have my highest levels of availability in July. it’s really up to you!
03. Who?
I always encourage my clients to invite others to their shoot if that’s something they’d prefer! Parents, siblings, significant others, and best friends are always welcome.
- Duo sessions can also be scheduled! if you and your best friend would like your senior photos taken in the same session, this is absolutely a possibility. pets are welcome as well, though i do charge a fee for portraits with animals. if you have more questions about guests or pets, please direct them to my contact page while requesting your session!
04. How?
Getting portraits taken can definitely be awkward – many clients feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, or find it difficult to come up with poses. Here are some tips to avoid this:
- Make a playlist! Create a soundtrack of songs that make you smile, laugh, or feel calm. Upon request, I can bring a portable speaker and play your music during our session.
- Invite a friend that will make you laugh and feel comfortable!
- Send me inspiration photos! Make a Pinterest board or other collection of portrait photos that you love – this will give me a better idea of what you want to emulate and I can guide your poses accordingly.
- Remember I’m always here to help! If you need to take a break for a minute, or if you need to me to demonstrate a pose, or if you need any sort of assurance – I’m your girl. The session is all about you, your comfort, and your joy! Let’s create a low-stress environment together.
05. Payment?
I accept payment through many different ways, including but not limited to:
- Checks
- Cash
- Apple pay/google pay via Square app
- Venmo
